We're so sorry about the loss of Mr. Dauber. Our daughter Karen worked for him several years while in high school and college. He treated her just like one of his own and we always enjoyed talking to him. Even though we weren't Mascoutah residents he was kind to our family. We're sure your family will miss him greatly, but he was truly a great man.

The only way I will ever picture Dauber Pharmacy is with Bob behind the Pharmacy Counter. He was a great guy. He always made people feel welcome and important, at home or the store. Mascoutah will never be the same without him but the memories will live forever.
Sincerely,
Linda (Binger) VanWart

Thoughts and prayers to he and his family (& friends/customers).. We moved to Mascoutah in 1967. I lived the first 13 years of my life in Mascoutah and can recall Dauber Pharmacy and Mr. Dauber himself well. As a very young child I thought his pharmacy to be a clean and pretty store. I liked looking at the greeting cards. At least my memory tells me I did. Ha If someone could confirm he sold greeting cards that would be wonderful. He lived a long & beautiful life no doubt and touched countless lives along his journey (so I read.) What a blessed man and blessing he was all those years to the Mascoutah community. I am 51 now. However so, I will always be that naive little girl whose heart got left in Mascoutah. (1967-1980) I salute Mr. Dauber for his patronage and dedication to his customers and town. Thank you, Mr. Dauber.

Remembering a car trip with Bob to Springfield IL to the Doctors Placement Convention to try to sell Doctors on coming to Mascoutah. I got to know Bob well that day. I'll cherish the memory.

I was saddened to hear of your loss. I think he has earned the title of Chief of the MCHS Indians. A wonderful man, husband, father and friend. I am so sorry. Tom and Judy Vernier

My mom is the same age as Bob, she remembers him in her first grade class.
I remember stops at Dauber Pharmacy on the way home from church for a roll of Livesavers and the STL Post.
I cared for Bob when I worked at STE probably on the 00's. We had some good conversations.
My sympathy to the family and the town of Mascoutah. He will be missed

Our family sends our deepest condolences to the Dauber family. Loved Dauber's pharmacy back in the day, always such cute gift items to shop, besides medicine! My mother, Dorothy (Davlan) Longust was bridge buddies with Dolores. We send our sympathy and prayers to all.
