As Nancy Schmedake Miller's college roommate and friend, I had the good fortune to meet Mrs. Schmedake and be a guest in her home. She was kind to me and was a model of a strong woman who gave of herself to her family, church, and community. I've carried this memory and the model with me for almost fifty years.

My condolences to the family.

I always consider Mrs Schmedake a second mother. It wasn't as often as I liked, but I always visited her when I came back to Granite after I left home to enter the military. I always enjoyed our visit with her. I will missing visiting her. She was a GRAND lady.

My sincere sympathy to the family. I have known the Schmedake family for many many years and they were a wonderful family. My brother George & Jim were great friends.
