It is with deep sorrow I have for the family of a Chain Gang Volunteer. I have heard of this sad event and being a 34 year Hih School football official from up in Kankakee Il, I want to thank Mr Antoine for the many hours he volunteered his time to help Prep football. It would of been a great honor to thank him after a ball game if I had ever had the chance. I will think of him every time I thank a chain gang member form this day forward...
Tom Longtin IHSA # 13942 and collegiate official

Mr. Antoine was a wonderful role model for the area and raised a nice family. He sacrificed to send his children to Catholic schools. He has left an admirable legacy.
I am so sorry to hear about your Dad. What a terrible loss for your family. Reading about your Dad helped me understand your unselfish nature with your girls and the children and families of Ascension Parish. You must be very proud of him, as I am sure he is proud of you.
You will be in our prayers,
Bridget Nations and family
Mrs.Antoine and family, I have prayed all weekend for Frank. His love of family, life and friends is truly amazing.
May the peace of the Lord be with all of you.
We will remember you well.
To the Antoine Family-
I just happened to run into Mr. and Mrs. Antoine at Fischer's Restaurant a week ago when my family was in Belleville for a few days, and I got to say hi. After reading the great article on him in the BND I was amazed to find that he was still helping out at ball games at 80. That is absolutely incredible. Mr. Antoine was a man that, simply put, seems to have gotten all that he could out of life.
To all of the Antoines, I am truly, truly sorry for your loss.
To the Antoine family. We are so sorry to hear of your loss. Our heart goes out to you all in this time of such sorrow.
So sorry to.hear of your loss. We will keep your family in our prayers.
To the Antoine Family,
I have fond memories of visits to your home in Belleville. Your dad always made me feel special.
I especially enjoyed listening to his stories(sometime fibs) when he, Jim and your dad returned from a morning of duck hunting at Carlyle lake.
We lost a truly special man this week.
