My heart broke today when I heard the sad news of Matts passing. My heart goes out to every member of the Seipp family. Know that you are in our thoughts and prayers during this most difficult time.
We are so sorry for your loss. Our thoughts are with your family.
What a wonderful person he was, and much loved by friends, colleagues, and students. May he rest in peace, and may his family find comfort during this difficult time.
May the Lord our God watch over you in Heaven above and your family below!!! Good guy!!!
To the entire Seipp family, you are in my thoughts and prayers. Hold on to God's unchanging hand. He will never leave you..
Mr. Seipp you will be truly missed and you were a great teacher.
We didn't know each other too well at ISU, but it was clear to me what a wonderful guy you were. My thoughts and prayers are with your family, friends, co-workers and students right now. You made the world a better place for the too brief time that you were here. Thank you for being you.
To all of the Seipp family, you have my thoughts and prayers. Matt was a wonderful man and he will be sorely missed by all.
Matt was coach for both my boys while in high school and with Legion Ball. He was the most wonderful man to ever have such a positive influence on my boys. He taught them more than ball he taught them integrity, sportsmanship, value for others, fun, leadership..I can not say enough of this wonderful man. He will be greatly missed. He was such an awesome man. May you rest in Peace Matt.... in heaven coaching baseball.... The Clements Family
We are incredibly sadden by this. Matt was a great businessman and entrepreneur. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family. Rest in peace.
Matt was a leader and role model for so many in the O'Fallon community. He led by example. I had great respect for him. He displayed a tremendous work ethic. Words dont do justify in explaining the type of person, educator, and business owner that Matt was. He was honestly one of a kind!
Our deepest sympathies to the Seipp family for the loss of Matt. He was a positive fixture in this community and will be missed greatly. May God bless you and give you strength in this tough time.
I never had him as a teacher or a coach but we still became good friends. I have never heard one bad word about him and to be honest haven't felt the same the last 48 hours. We are going to miss you Matt.
Matt was a special teacher that will be missed so much. He cared about each and every one of his students and he made sure that our son Cody had every opportunity to enjoy and succeed in his class. My husband enjoyed poker and golf with Matt and always spoke so highly of him, our prayers and love go out to the Seipp family. May God hold you close to him and comfort you in this difficult time. Misty and Dave Stosberg
I have only briefly known Matt thru working for Liz and Larry Fulford...but it truly only takes a brief moment to see the type of person he was. Everything you read about him is a true depiction of the wonderful human being he was. He gave you the affirmation that there are still good people in the world. His parents did it right! It is obvious by the out pouring of sorrow that he takes a little piece of everyone's heart with him. Rest in peace Matt.
Even though I haven't seen Matt in years, I still remember his smiling face and cheerful attitude. He was such a wonderful fourth grade student. He was so positive and full of life. I will always remember your family as well because of fond memories I have. Rest in peace, Matt and God bless you all for raising such a fine son.
May God bless your family and have faiths
I've known Matt since high school and he was always so kind and caring. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. May God give you strength and peace through this trying time.
Matt was the hardest working young man I ever knew, he was always very dedicated to what ever he got involved with. I remember Him preparing the ball fields before the games he would play in. He would be in that ford bronco dragging the infield, then chalking the lines, hey then he had to play ball, and after the game maybe drag the field again to be ready for the next one. We sure had a lot of good baseball memories my heart truly hurts. I cant believe this has happened. Matt I sure will miss you. My deepest sorrow to the family.
I didn't know Matt well but he was there for my family in a moment of need and was a colleague that was incredibly well respected. As such, I mostly know Matt by word of mouth but that word of mouth was enough to know that he was the rare man who made a difference in the lives of all that he came into contact with. His impact with his family, friends, students, community and colleagues will live forever because I have no doubt the lessons he taught others, whether intentional or simply as a result of being the incredible man he is, will be passed on from generation to generation by those whose lives were made better by him simply having shown up and smiled or offered simple words of encouragement and praise. I am praying for his family, friends, colleagues and all others who mourn his passing at way too young an age. We didn't know each other well but thank you for all you've done to those who I care deeply about and those whom I might never know but will make the world a better place! I can only hope to be half the man you were. Rest in peace brother.
Matt was a mentor to me. I was a student of his, played legion baseball for him and worked for him. He taught me a lot about life. If it wasn't for him I wouldn't be where I am at today!! Fond memories of him listening to the same mixed CD everyday we worked. Songs like" land down under "and "crazy game of poker."We may have not talked much lately but I still looked up to him and wanted to be as successful as he was. The hole Seipp family are in my thoughts as you go through this tough time in your life.
I was one of Matt's college roommates and a teammate of his on the Illinois State Redbirds baseball team. He was a responsible, reliable, mature person, even at a young age. My heart goes out to his family.
Our family is so deeply saddened to hear the news of Matt's passing today. The City of O'Fallon has lost a truly warm, considerate and wonderful man. Matt was our youngest son's O'Fallon Post 137 Jr. & Sr. American Legion baseball Coach between '02 and '05. Matt and his entire family WERE O'Fallon American Legion Baseball. We were blessed to know Matt. His loss is tragic, but we all know he is now at rest with our Lord & Savior. Our prayers, deepest sympathies and thoughts are with Matt's wife and son, his wonderful parents, and his sister and their families. May God Bless you, and help ease your pain and sorrow in your time of great need. Rest in Peace, Matt.
I did not have the pleasure of having mr. Seipp as a teacher but he did leave a great impression on me. He was a great friend and mentor to a few of my friends, a brilliant teacher to many of my classmates, and a great inspiration to the oths student body(past and present), staff, and o'fallon community. Tonight my prayers are with his wife, son, family, and friends. May God lift his soul and all our hearts.
God bless you and your family
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Our deepest condolences and heartfelt prayers go out to the entire Seipp family during this very difficult journey. Matt was loved and respected by all who knew him. May the Lord wrap His loving arms around you all and provide comfort and peace.
- matt and I competed against each other as coaches in legion and togther as collegues in otown baseball. There is a good game going on up above!
Such a tragedy. Mr. Seipp was one of the most genuine people I knew. He was a fantastic teacher and an even better person. I had him for a semester of drafting and 2 semesters of welding. I never had as much fun in any other class.
We've known Matt and his family since Matt was 4 years old. As with all who knew him, we are shocked and heart-broken over Matt's passing. He was in our preschool in 1984. He was bright, energetic, and friends with everyone in his class--even at that early age. We watched Matt grow to be an outstanding young man, a hard worker, and an important member of the O'Fallon community. We will dearly miss him and the times he stopped by to talk baseball. God bless you, Matt.

I heard of Matt's untimely passing and was quite shocked. He was such a fine young individual and great role model for the members of O'Fallon and our communities. Prayers for the family and with sincere sympathy to all on this untimely passing.
My thoughts and prayers are with the Seipp family. My son had you as a teacher for three years and he really learned a lot from you and enjoyed your class. Mr. Seipp will be truly missed.
My deepest condolences to his wife, son, family, and friends. I had Mr. Seipp as a teacher my junior and senior year(2006-07). He was an inspiration to me and a wonderful teacher. May God bless him and his family in this hard time.
No words can express the sorrow I feel for all of you. God must have a very special plan for him to have taken him from you all. You are in my prayers.
Matt was our next door neighbor in the Country Oaks Subdivision. He will always be in our memories as a friend and the hardest working man I've ever known. Our best to Jody and baby Drew ! The grass in Heaven is greener now that you are there.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Rest in peace with the Lord, Matt.
Matt was our batboy for the O'Fallon American Legion baseball team. He later played for the team and then was the manager. An outstanding young man who will be missed by many. Rest in peace Matt.
I have fond memories growing up with Matt, especially making floats for Homecoming. O'Fallon has lost a great man. My deepest condolences go out to his wife, their son, and Matt's whole family.
Matt will be greatly missed. My son, Mike, had the highest respect for him. He was a student of Matt's and worked with him also. Matt helped motivate and inspire him. I will be forever thankful. God bless him and his family.
I've known Matt since he was old enough to cut lawns with his dad on Westfield Drive in O'Fallon. When I moved to Swansea, I called him and insisted he begin treating my lawn in Swansea. He was always neat to talk to. I will miss him greatly.
Our thoughts and prayers go to his wife and child. Matt was a good person in all aspects and will be missed by many.
May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.
