David J. Voegtle

I am sorry to hear of David's death. The last time I saw him was at Jane Bauer's wedding, but I have often thought of him. I am so happy that he is at peace. Joyce Schaefer.

Throughout grade school at St Mary's and high school at Althoff, David was forever the consistent and level minded person. I never once saw him visibly irritated by or resentful of another person. He always "played well with others". Although I have not seen him since Althoff, I have thought of him from time to time. He was a pleasant and formative memory from the early years of my life. I was sorry to hear of his mental issue and I hope he left us in a comfortable state of mind.

Dave was one of the good ones.

I hope I have you all correct. I wish I would have heard of Dave's death in time to make the funeral but please know you are in my prayers. I used to idolize Dave when I was young and will never forget his sweet ways.

Dear Susie, Mark, Kevin, Tom, Jeff, Donnie and Mary Kay, I am so sorry to hear about Dave. He was a kind and gentle spirit. We had long talks when he lived in Edwardsville in the 70's. When I think of Dave, I see the picture of him as the co-captain of Althoff's football team, crowning the homecoming queen. Rest in peace Dave, you're memory lives on in the hearts of your family and friends. Love Jacquie Schaefer
