Nancy, I just heard of Joe's passing. Though I hadn't seen Joe for a long time, I will always remember his soft spoken nature and kindness. He was truly a unique person. Please accept my sincerest condolences.

Joe, I keep opening Q and looking at the history of our conversations. Your making me feel like a close friend through instant messaging is a testament to a personality that extended through the ether. Goodbye, my friend and colleague.

I knew Joe for roughly 30 years, about half my lifetime, and worked with him for almost 20 of those. Throughout those years he always had such a good outlook on life. Not to say he couldn't be weary of the normal issues life sends our way, but it was how he handled it, always finding the positives to carry him through. That's something I always admired about him. He was a good friend to all, willing to help others, regardless. As I write this, I see the photo of him, taken at Katie and Don's wedding. It captures the joy he showed for life, the love for his wife Nancy, and the pride in presenting his family to the world. I could fill up many paragraphs about him, and it still wouldn't be enough. So I'll just say "Go in Peace, Joe. You will be missed."
