Our hearts go out to Sarah, Kaylee, Camden and the rest of Trooper Deatherage's family. We observed a moment of silence last night at our Monmouth Beach, NJ borough meeting. It gave me great comfort to see the Illinois State Police car backing up the checkpoint to our town following Superstorm Sandy, as I was a resident of Illinois for many years. He will always be a hero and we are eternally grateful for the sacrifice you all made so he could serve us.

Rest assured Kyle will be remembered at every Mass I attend. There is a time when I remember all US Service people/Verterans and all those who stand in harms way to protect us.
He is at Peace.

May all the words of comfort and prayers from both friends and strangers help you while you grieve. Kyle was doing what he loved and we are all grateful for his service to mankind.
May Kyle's love and sense of humor strengthen you all as you remember and talk often of the good times.
Truly sorry for your loss,

May god grant him wings to soar above, watch over us and keep us from harm.
Rest In Peace.
