Dear Ruth (Babe) and Family We just found out about your Mom's passing. No one notified us or else we would have been there for her wake and funeral. Please accept our deepest sympathy at this time of your great loss.

Hello All Ossola's & Clark's, Gutjahr's, Scheurbaum's and Novinger's. Just want to say how much I loved your Mom (and dad). She always had a smile on her face and was off running somewhere on some trip or project or to play golf(like my moom!). My favorite memory of Kate is when she sopped by with her bike and announced in our living room she was pregnant with JJ! I think she was 45! She was very excited and we were all shocked! Then J comes along and she trusts me to babysit at day 11 when she had to run to the store. I was 11 & petrified but she was like no problem, piece of cake, he'll just lay there and I'll be back quick. Of course it all worked out with lots more babysitting so I felt close to her. Always enjoyed the Christmas family get together's at their house if I was home. Biggest disappointment was Kate & I actually having our China visa's but not getting to go because SARS hit. She just couldn't take a change getting sick because then she couldn't take care of the grandkids! I will miss her much. Love, Cathy Stringer

Ken,
Assume this is your Mom. Sorry I missed note until today, but sounds as if she lived wonderful life. Please accept my sympathy for your loss....best to remember good times and all you learned from her & Joe who I knew through you and working at Granite City Steel in my first job after college. Stay in touch with SLUH '69 guys..was nice to see you and catch up a bit last Christmas.
