To the Eckhardt family:
I got a chance to know Norman over 15 years ago while working out of the labor hall. He was the best labor Foreman I had ever known! I will keep him in my memory for as long as I live and I think we've ALL been VERY lucky to have such a good soul in our lives.
After he retired, he never passed up the chance to visit the Gillihan crew on a jobsite and show off the fish or turtle he'd just caught, in a homemade-live well, in the back of his truck.
I truly feel blessed to have known Norman and even thought his passing gave me a lump in my throat the size of a tennis ball, I know that we'll all see him again someday. I know it's hard but we really have no choice but to smile because we got to know him....I'll always remember his smile!

Norm was one of a kind! I will miss him dearly, as will everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. Him and Sweetie walking in always put a smile on everyone's face! Norm was one of the kindest, gentlest souls I have ever had the pleasure of knowing

Please accept my deepest sympathies.
