I am so sorry to hear of Pauls passing. I remember him as a very kind man and a great scout leader. I know that when Paul and my father were together there was always lots of smiles and laughter, they were good friends. May the grace of god be with you and your family.

Dear Irma and David,
I'm so sorry to hear about Paul's passing, in dealing with my oun sisters death, I just heard about the loss today 2/24/12.
Paul was one the finest men that I've ever known, and it was a pleasure to serve under him as a Deputy Sheriff.
He was a true friend and confidant and a fine example of courage and commitment to his community and fellow citizens.
What an honor to have even known him and even a greater honor to have been lucky enough to be a part of his life.
You have my deepest sympathy.

I was saddened to learn of Paul's passing. Last fall while in Belleville I called and spoke with Paul about our Scouting days together. Paul was one of the finest scout volunteers I ever met. I first met Paul in l964 when I joined the staff of the old Kaskaskia Council. He served as our District Commissioner. Before we left Belleville to a Boy Scout position in the Chicago area, our St. Clair District scout enrollment exceeded 5,100. Paul was part of a great volunteer team that included Don Stock, Otto Faulbaum, Milburn West, Fred Bruss (former Fire Chief) , Dave O'Neil, and Gerry Hrastar along with many others. Paul touched the lives of countless boys through his work in Scouting.
