John Farless

John Vernon Farless, 72, of Granite City, Ill., born Feb. 4, 1944, in Stewart County, Tenn., died March 4, 2016, at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, Ill.

John was a devoted husband and brother who enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, and woodworking. He was a longtime Mason in the Winfield Lodge 581 in Winfield, Mo. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester E. and Ruby, nee Dix, Farless.

Surviving are his wife, Joan Farless; his brother, James (Bernice) Farless; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Memorial donations in John's memory may be made to the Masonic Lodge 581, Winfield, Mo.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 8, 2016, at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Ill.

Funeral: Funeral services to be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, 2016, at the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Ill.
