To all that knew Rob, he was a wonderful friend. He and I were friends on a different level. We shared many highs and lows in the past 30 plus years. I could talk to him about troubles that I wouldn't think of sharing with any other person. I think he felt the same level of comfort with me. A few weeks ago he called to ask me to help with a project and when we were finished, he did something totally unexpected--he said come here and give me a hug. I said get out of here, are you crazy, but he said "I'm serious." At that time I couldn't understand why he felt the need to hug me but I think I do now. He had a deep and profound love for his children, Sue, his parents and siblings. He wouldn't want them to be sad about his passing. He would much rather we rejoice his life. Rob, you will be deeply missed. Jim Staub

So sorry to hear of your loss. Although I did not know him as well as many others, I too thought he had a contagious smile. He was a great guy to my children, Bobby and Kitty and I know they respected him and Bobby enjoyed those trips to Camp Ondesonk Rob always included him in on. Life is short and we must take one day at a time and make the most of it! Rest in peace, Rob and thanks for enriching my children's' lives.

Our hearts break for you Drew, Zach and Sadie. Your dad was a good friend, and his light shines in you. You three were his entire life and he was so very proud of each of you. He was kind, funny, honest and hard working...and real. Our world is sadder without him, but I hope the happy memories fill the hole in your heart. Love you guys!

My husband and I met "Robby" through softball many years ago and formed a ever-lasting friendship. He was always smiling, laughing and joking and he seemed to just love life. There were very few times he didn't seem happy and we were glad when he and Sue found each other again. He would do anything for his family or his friends and we are so lucky to have had the gift of his friendship. He was one of the hardest working men I've ever known. Frank and I will miss his smile and his laugh, and his talent at playing softball and cards and we hope to see him again someday. "With God, a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day, therefore he will see us again tomorrow." Our thoughts and prayers go to his family and Sue for making him so happy. We will always love and remember you "Robby"...Frank and Lori Pace
