I did not know Mr.Wetzel but after reading his obituary he was a very accomplished businessman and humanitarian. More importantly judging from the guestbook entries he was a kind and beloved man. That is a life, although cut too short, well lived. My thoughts and prayers to the Wetzel family in your time of great loss.

Carol, my deepest sympathy to you and your family. Bob was an outstanding man in so many, many respects. He was also my good friend for many years.

I am sorry I was unable to be there tonight. Hugs are needed at this time!

Our prayers are with you and yours.

Bob played trombone in the high school band when I was playing trumpet. He was a year ahead of me. What an impressive obituary!!

I remember Bob from our EHS class of 1955. He and Carol hosted the Friday evening get-togethers before each of our class reunions at their home. I enjoyed their hospitality very much. My sincere sympathy to Carol and the rest of the family.

How proud our class of 1955 is of our classmate and friend, Bob Wetzel. He's been a part of our experience for over 50 years. My parents were also friends of Vi and Art Wetzel. My sympathies to Carol and her family. Tom joins me in our condolences.

Bob was always a kind and generous friend, a person who could be called for a small or large problem and he would be helpful.
My condolences to Carol and his family at this time of sorrow, he will be missed by all who were fortunate to know him.

I remember him well, he helped me with a research project on banking while I was a student at SIUE and would see he when I banked at the Bank of Edwardsville. A very nice man and a kindred soul.

My condolences to the family. So sorry to learn of Bob's passing. He always had a kind word for me in high school. He was the perfect gentleman and diplomat always. Rest in peace Bob.
