Texans care, too. Beautiful girl and family; heartbreaking story. God bless you and your family.

To Sierra's parents, siblings and grandparents, I lost my 9 year old daughter Emily in 2004 in a single engine plane crash with her paternal grandparents who also died. They crashed also upside down in Tunica, Mississippi. I want to share with you some resources. There are 2 national bereaved parent, sibling and grandparent support groups that have chapters nationwide. The larger one is Compassionate Friends and the other one is Bereaved Parents of the USA. Both have websites and you can locate a chapter near you. The monthly meetings can be very helpful. Give one locations meeting at least 3 visits before deciding if that locations group is for you. Each has a yearly Gathering in July. I highly recommend going. Siblings and grandparents can attend and there is great support for them at these conferences that include workshops on many grief issues plus parent to parent support. For your surviving children, they can go on Facebook and have a Sibling page WHERE NO PARENTS ARE ALLOWED so they can talk about their experience without worrying about upsetting or worrying you. It is called The Compassionate Friends Sounds of the Siblings. I hope you do try a few area bereaved parent support groups as they do change over time and do come to a conference and bring the siblings and grandparents. I attended my first meeting a month after Emily died and my first conference 8 months after in another state, alone. Your daughter is beautiful. A bright light shines from her. Feel free to contact me. I always felt that I needed to only talk to other parents whose children died in a small plane. I don't feel that anymore but your story certainly touches me very much.

Sierra, you were such a beautiful girl. You reminded me of my pretty great niece who lives in Kansas. My heart dropped to the bottom of my feet when I read about your family's loss. God Bless. IW. Belleville, Illinois
