Ralph Weilbacher Sr.
Ralph J. Weilbacher Sr., 86, of Freeburg, Ill., born Sept. 16, 1929, in Millstadt, Ill., died Saturday, July 2, 2016, at Rosewood Care Center in Swansea, Ill.
Mr. Weilbacher was farmer and rancher on the same farm he was born on with his wife and children. In 1977 they moved to Camdenton, Missouri-Lake of the Ozarks and had a ranch raising cattle. Ralph and his late wife, Mary, had a beautiful house on the lake and were members at St. Anthony Catholic Church. In 2004 they moved in to their home in Wildwood Lake Estates.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary J., nee Schilling, Weilbacher, whom he married on Nov. 15, 1949, at the Cathedral of St. Peter in Belleville, Ill., and who died on Jan. 17, 2016; his parents, Otto and Louise, nee Mueller, Weilbacher; and a grandchild, Trisha Weilbacher.
Surviving are his children, Violet (Alan) Sternau of Belleville, Ill., Dale (Pam) Weilbacher of Hollywood, Fla., Ralph J. (Marcia) Weibacher Jr. of Millstadt, Ill., and Cindy Lou (Keith) Anderson of Smithton, Ill.; nine grandchildren, Brett (Carli) Anderson, Jenna (Chris) Hughes, Brad (Vicki) Weilbacher, Amy (Dirk) Schaumleffel, Jason (Kristin) Sternau, Heather (Jeremy) Bulen, Andrew Weilbacher, Brooks (Jamie) Ensminger, and Monica (Jamie) Mize; four great-grandchildren, Oliva Hughes, Addison and Drake Schaumleffel, and Ellianna; as well as other relatives and friends.

Funeral: A memorial mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 11, 2016, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Freeburg, Ill. Inurnment will be in Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, Ill.

I am so sorry for your loss, two parents in one yr. I can not image the sorrow and pain you are all feeling now, I will not be able to attend Monday's mass, but know you are all in my thoughts and prayers.

My condolences to the extended family. I have many fond memories of my dad (Blitz) and I helping out on the farm as well as many family visits, including swim parties at the little house down at the pond.

Ralph was very dear to our hearts. He will truly be missed. Knowing he is with his beloved Mary again brings us happiness instead of sorrow.
