I was so sad to hear of Al's passing. My heart goes out to Barb, Janet and Dale, Jeff and Lynette and all the rest of the family.
Al was a man of few words, but when he talked you wanted to listen to what he had to say; because it was meaningful.
I have always known Al and Jane; they were great friends of my parents. The Hemnes's and Sasken's spent a lot of time together;camping in the mountains, picnic at the Pasinski Beach and just visiting.
In the later years I began to notice what good people they were. You don't notice those things when you are a kid.
Al and Jane were always there to help a friend when they needed help. Painting, moving, cooking and cleaning if someone was sick; never expecting anything in return. They had such big hearts.
Al was also there to give me "Dad" advise after my Dad passed; mostly gardening advise and help around the house. Always willing to help!
Al would come over occasionally and pick rhubarb from my rhubarb patch... he LOVED Rhubarb and Jane made amazing Rhubarb desserts!
So many good memories... I will truly miss Big Al! He was one of a kind.
