Bess was one of God's angels here on earth. She was a leader, a woman devoted to family, friends and many groups that focused on making the lives of others better. We have fond memories of Bess, the many Women of Western activities and parties. She was a mentor and a teacher. Our love to Matt, MeriBeth and Maureen.

Sorry for your loss. May the peace of God be with you all as you deal with your loss of Ms. Christman.

The way I remember your mom! The room always seem to brighton just a bit more when your mom walked in!

We will always be grateful for all Bess did for Interfaith. We were lucky to bid on her pie of the month for a year and win! NO one made better pies than Bess! Thank you for sharing your Mom with our community. We are all better for knowing Bess. God Bless

So sorry to hear of Bess's passing. I'm away and can't attend her service but am remembering all the times our paths crossed. We served on committees together, I worked with Bob for 15 years, I have many of her recipes and can't think of a better hostess or finer person. Bless all of you.

All of us at Interfaith Coalition mourn the passing of Bess Christman, and lift up her legacy of caring for people in need. Bess is legendary at Interfaith. She served on our very first board in 1981, right up until 2008. Her lifetime of generosity, compassion, dedication and selflessness truly served our community. Grounded in her deep faith, Bess put her heart into Interfaith's programs, as well as many other community programs that worked to help others. We fondly recall many things about Bess, not least of which were her fabulous pies! We always opened the auction each year with Bess's Homemade Pies (not only the best you'd ever eat, but also so popular that they raised lots of money for Interfaith, too!).

And, if you had the great pleasure of knowing Bess, you'll remember that she never met a stranger. We celebrate Bess and are thankful for her devotion to her fellow brothers and sisters. What a legacy she has left in our world.

To the Family of Bess== Today I went to the Interfaith Coalition Concert and sat next to Brenda Riseland who is involved with Interfaith as well. We mentioned about all the pies that Bess made and donated. I am so impressed by how many thousands of dollars that this very generous lady raised for this cause. I never had the pleasure of meeting her but she must be wearing a gold crown for all of the folks that she touched in her years. She was truly a class act!!! May her loved ones never forget her.

Bess was the best role model, citizen and blessed mother. She loved to help people. I enjoyed being around her during our Boy Scout years. We'll miss her sense of humor, kindness, and great personality.

Bess was the true definition of a lady, and the kindest person I've ever known.
