To the family and friends of Daniel Bartle, please know that so many mourn with you for the loss of Daniel. Even though I don't know you or Daniel you are still family to me. I have two sons in the Marine Corps and my youngest flies the CH-53. He'll be headed to Afghanistan in August.

Daniel is one of America's finest and thank you for raising such a wonderful man. Your family and friends are in my prayers for comfort during these sad days ahead. Remember all the happy times with Daniel and know that he is in a very safe and loving place now.

God Bless You!

Our hearts have been so very saddened by the news of Daniel's death. Each day since we received the call about your loss, you have all been in our prayers. Looking at the articles we have found on the web, it is obvious how respected Daniel is in the hearts of everyone who knew him. We are so glad you have the support of your community at this difficult time.
We know Daniel will always be with you. He will always be the wonderful young soldier and hero you happily guided through childhood.
All our love is with you.

Thanks to you all for your continued guidance in love and patriotism.

Love Always, Gene & Mary Cabaluna

To the family of Capt Daniel Bartle,

There is nothing anyone can say to ease the pain of losing a loved one.
I am so sorry for your loss. May the memories you hold in your heart help you thru this time of sorrow.

My memories of Dan are great ones. So enjoyed having him on the chess team at FHS.

Story: The chess and math teams sponsored a dance, and at one point a crowd formed around... what? Maybe a fight, so being a good chaperone I stuck my head in the middle to see, what else, this quiet chessplayer break dancing to beat the band! Dan the man.

Very saddened when Dave Peters called with the bad news. The next Monday evening at the final chess meet of the season, before the final championship round, I took the Sunday cover story about Dan and, with difficulty, read it to all sixty students. We then had a moment of silence to honor a great man.

Condolences, love and hugs,
Randy
