Dear Dottie,

What a privilege it was this morning to sit in the grand hall of the National Air and Space Museum and be a part of the memorial celebration honoring Ed's life and career. He was a remarkable human being whose legacy will live on long after we're gone. You are an integral part of that legacy, and I am pleased that I had the good fortune to once again speak with you and experience "life with Ed." I had forgotten your wonderful sense of humor, but was delighted to find it intact after all these years (noting that the retirement/refrigerator anecdote was especially entertaining). You will remain in my thoughts and prayers always.

Blessings,

Easter Thompson (GAMA 1980-1984)

Ed was the nicest guy, funny and smart. I was his cadaver-mate in 1st
yr anatomy @ the UW in his ill-fated venture into medicine. We had some good escapades during that year, being brothers in the Nu Sigma Nu Medical Fraternity. I'm glad he found his groove - did more than I knew. My thoughts & prayers to you and the whole family. Jim Haynes, UW 56 & 61

Dottie, as part of the original GAMA-5 in the early 70's, Ed was my leader who inspired excellence from his staff. He was never simply a boss. Great memories, appreciation, and, now sympathies. Hope to see you at Air & Space Museum Tribute..Jerry

Dottie;

You're in my thoughts and prayers. It was a late pleasure in my life to know the two of you. I'm grateful Barbara introduced us. We'll hope to see you when I'm in Boise over Christmas.

Dottie,

Our deepest condolences to you and your family. You may not remember me, but I worked for Ed for a few months at M-K. We also were your guests for a splendid dinner at your home one Christmas season, which I remember vividly to this day. You were both so warm and welcoming.

Ed was a wonderful person and I feel very privileged to have known him.

Sincerely,

Kathy and Russ Poole

Dearest Dottie:

Drew and I are devastated, along with you, on the loss of Ed. He was a gift to so many people. You and he will be in our memories forever.
