Frank Joseph Dion passed away on November 12, 2012 in Ferndale, Washington. He was born on February 12, 1917 in Pontiac, Michigan to Frank G. and Mary Dion. He attended grade school in Detroit, Michigan and graduated from high school in Pontiac, Michigan in 1935.
He first worked at his father's butcher shop and then for General Motors Truck and Coach until he joined the U.S. Army in March of 1941. Frank married Edna Lonseth on January 18, 1945. It was such a pleasure knowing Frank over the years. My earliest memories of knowing him probaby goes back 30 years when I was a little girl. He always took interest in the kids at church and made you feel special. When I was in college discovered I had been working with his grandson Mark in Alaska and didn't know it. When I made it home for the holidays as years past and attended church he always wanted to visit and catch up. His smile always made my day. He will be missed.
