Michael Timothy Griffin, 48, of Ferndale, passed away July 4th, on Clark Island while camping. He was born on August 9th, 1964 in Bellingham, WA, to Ronald and Sarah Griffin. Michael passed away doing what he enjoyed best; being in the outdoors. He enjoyed biking, boating, camping, hiking, and volunteering. He attended Christ the King Church in Bellingham, where he gave his life to God four years ago. He worked at Trans - Ocean Products for 22yrs. Michael is preceded in death by his father, Ronald Griffin and brother, Patrick Griffin. Michael is survived by his mother, Sarah Griffin of Ferndale; uncle Seth Roberson of Spokane; aunt Nadine Westby of Bellingham; and life long family friend Lea Sin of Lynden. Memorial services will be held at Zuanich Point Park, 2600 Harbor Loop in Bellingham with Pastor Ryan Ervin of CTK officiating, Friday July 19, 2013 at 4:30 p.m. Contributions can be made in memory of Michael to Christ the King church and American Heart Associations.
