Belva Plain was and is my favorite author. You feel like the people in her books are real, and when they have tragedies or deaths, you cry. She is the most wonderful writer I have ever read. I am so glad she lived such a long, full life.

I started reading Belva Plains books thirty years ago. I saved all of her books, I LOVED them, I just finished reading her book Heartwood, I was so surprised to read she died. I loved her books, she gave us a wonderful gift, I was so sad, I will miss her, she shared her gift of heartwarming books, she was a talent that will never be replaced.

I just discovered Belva Plain when a stranger at Barnes and Noble recommended her books. I read "Evergreen" and am now hooked. I was so saddened to hear of her death! How wonderful that she has left such beautiful achievements in her writing. She must have been an amazing woman to put so much heart in her work. As a Jew and former New Yorker, I particularly like the variety of Jewish characters she creates. My condolences to her family and friends.

I was so saddened by the passing of one of my favorite authors. Once I had read "Evergreen", of course, I was hooked, and couldn't wait to get to her next novel. My books are my best friends, so I am truly thankful to Belva Plain for giving me so many dear friends over the years. She will be missed in the literary world...and in mine.

I have loved Ms. Plain's books for many, many years, ever since Evergreen. I just learned of her death when I got her most recent book from the library a few days ago. I was telling the librarian what a treat it always is to find a new Belva Plain and that I hoped that she would live forever. Then, I noticed that she died last fall. What a blow to her family and what sadness for her readers, too. Let me offer my condolences to her children and grandchildren. Such loss is hard to bear, but I know that your happy memories will offer comfort in the years to come.
