I am very thankful that I got to have Len as a grandfather for 15 years. I am thankful that we had a very strong and close relationship together. I am thankful that we got to have some really good times together especially when I was a little boy when Grandad and nana would come to stay with us frequently then the three of us would catch the train from Melbourne to Bendigo. I would stay with them and spend some time with them. Some other fond memories I have of my grandfather are that we would talk for hours, I would listen to stories about his life, learn some of his important lessons to help guide me. We would go on my iPad together and clown around on it and make funny videos. Len was a man full of knowledge which he has passed a lot of it on to me. He was also a very hard working man because he was very committed to his business. You will forever be with me. RIP grandad Len. Nick Batten
