I am just coming upon this after searching for Don on the internet. I worked with him on ALL IN THE TIMING with Ralph Hammann in the late 1990s and he was just a joy. He once told me that he couldn't wait to be able to see me play Mr. Adams one day ("Keep Doin' Your Push-Ups!") well- I may soon have the opportunity to play Mr. Adams in a project and I wanted to tell Don the good news. My very best wishes to Carol and to Don's extended family, He will be missed very deeply. Here's to a Fine actor, a Proud Marine and a True American Original.

Mr. Perkins was a great help for many years to the seventh grade language arts classes at Adams Memorial Middle School. Upon contacting him after seeing him perform as Marley and Fezziwig in Charles Dickens', "A Christmas Carol", he came many times to the school to give talks and answer questions about the play and the theater. The students always felt privileged to be in the presence of such a talented and esteemed person. I also had the privilege of singing with him at St. Elizabeth's. Another bright light has gone out on Broadway. He will be sadly missed.
