How sad to hear of the passing of a dear friend and good man Barto. The love and kindness he showed to others through his life shall be rewarded, We know your up there Barto , rest in peace.
Leo (The Great Bartus) Bartoski was a man with a High Heart and a Kind Spirit. I was Blessed to have had the Pleasure of knowing him when I visited Hoosick Falls in my teens. He always wanted to visit me in Ireland and I always wished he had come. To a very dear friend I send my condolences to family members. A shining light who I will so very much miss. We had exchanged thoughts and Christmas cards across the miles the last 32 years. To a dear dear friend I will miss you....rest in peace...until we meet again
Barto!!! What can be said that hasn't been said in previous writing. Being a Cambridge guy who got to know many Hoosick Falls people over the years, Barto sticks out whether it be sports or nothing but a quick hello in passing. Having been in the Auto business all my adult life--and Barto not having a license in the early years I used to kid him of HEY, your killing me here. I need to sell one more car today. Lots of laughs and I will say "he" sent me several customers over the years. In his words, trust is what it is all about. I will never forget this. You will be missed but as is said, their are better places and I think you found one. Keep that smile...
Leo impacted the lives of so many young people of HF. He will be greatly missed. RIP Leo....

Such wonderful memories of Barto from the past 30+ years starting with my childhood summers at the country club where he would buy our golf balls just to help us out through his support of our high school basketball team and into adult hood where we exchanged Christmas cards and just this past summer he showed me the "back" door into the clubhouse at Saratoga raceway... We know he is not gone, just stepped out of his earthly body to move to a new home with the lord! Love you Barto and see you soon enough!
We enjoyed many thanksgiving dinners and holiday parties at the nowak residence in eagle bridge he was a wonderful, caring person who will be missed but never forgotten.
I hadn't had any contact with the great Bartoski in the last few years, but as a teenager, I remember his laughter and kindness toward all of us kids. I will always remember him as the greatest Detroit fan ever! Rest in Peace "Uncle" Leo.
Our Deepest and Heartfelt Sympathy. What a Special guy Leo was. Leo will always be remembered with Love in our hearts.

Another HF icon taken to heaven on the wings of an angel ~ he was a friendly guy who always had a smile and hello ~ to his family and friends our deepest sympathy. May peace and strength be yours through the grace of God. You are in our prayers.
Although he never had children of his own he reached out to any that he crossed paths with. Thanks Buddy. There will never be another like "The Great One." I'll miss you on, and off, the course my friend.......
We count ourselves among the lucky ones whose lives were closely touched by the Great Bartoo. If you knew Leo you had a loyal friend for life, a devoted friend who brought joy and happiness to your life. Rest in peace Leo – we love you dearly.
With Tink Shiland and Paul Harrison, Bartou taught us to play bb with our heads and with our heads up. Always silent with head bowed in church, but never that way outside. Let Leo's spirit live on.
Leo, May you rest in peace and continue practicing your golf chip shots in heaven. You will never be forgotten
God bless the great bartoo! Rock city will not be the same. Rest in peace, good man.
I'm going to miss my buddy and all the trips on RT.2 while at D.O.T and all the fun we had a T-Bones
Did Leo ever miss a local basketball game? I doubt it. He was such a fan of the youth of HF. He will be missed greatly.
Leo, I am saddened by your death. However, I know you are rejoicing, in the presence of our creator. Your influence in our lives will be everlasting. I have fond memories of our gatherings on the Kresky farm. You have eternal peace. Luv u cuz, just because.
Barto, May God bless you and all the people that you touched along the way.
You will be greatly missed. We miss you already.
I'm sure I speak for all of us when I say Leo was one of Hoosick Falls most memorable residents. Always up-beat fun to be around. A sincere caring person with a wonderful sense
The Lord is a refuge during times of distress. May he comfort your hearts during this time of sorrow.
We will miss Leo terribly !! It was an honor and a joy to get to know him. The Bagel and Brew Cafe will never be the same.
You will always be in our hearts Leo
Lost a great and loyal friend of 50 years on Saturday, but Heaven has gained the most avid and competitive basketball playing, tennis serving, golf ball hitting, road running, Detroit fan and debate team captain it will ever know! Enjoy it there, Leo. You earned it!
Leo, One word to describe you, Outstanding. One of a kind.
