To Charlie and the Salem family, my condolences in Henry's passing.
I had the privilege of knowing him in cardiac rehab and recently, also as a patient at CLR.
Henry enjoyed his trout pond spring and a few years ago while visiting, allowed me to toss pellets in the swirling frenzy-- very cool. Sometimes we'd discuss different interesting things in the cottage where they had card games and other social activities. Upon his invitation I had the pleasure of sitting up on the ridge behind his house, enjoying the terrain while observing the chance of a buck passing through.
Such a nice man, R.I.P.

So many wonderful memories shared in Salem's Market. Henry was such a wonderful man. He will be so missed.

Henry was our first friend in Bennington; Liz and Charlie welcomed us and that was the first of many generous and kind memories from then to now from a very special family.

I fondly remember going in to Salem's Market often when I was a little girl. Hank was so friendly. He always called me 'Sissy'. (Maybe he said that to all the girls!)And I wish they still had those rotisserie chickens in a bag! Anyway, I enjoyed reading about Hank and the history of the store. My son is now the Assistant Manager and Meat Cutter at Henry's Market.
