James R. Nason

1940 - 2016 POWNAL, VT James R. Nason, 76 a resident of North Pownal Road passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday June 7, 2016 in the company of his loving wife. The son of Dorothy Higgins and William Nason of Woodford, Jim, as all knew him by, was born in Bennington on May 24, 1940. He had been an avid league bowler for many years at Bennington Lanes, however his great passion was being a dedicated Harley rider throughout his life. Jim leaves his wife Donna (Bessette) Nason, several children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother Gene Nason. FUNERAL NOTICE: There will be a celebration of Jim's life on Sunday June 12 at the Bennington Moose Family Center from 12-4pm. Jim was a Vietnam Air Force veteran , on Monday June 13 the Patriot Guard will escort his body from the Hanson Walbridge & Shea Funeral Home at 10:30 to the Gerald B.
