CAMBRIDGE, N.Y. -- Mary J. Leslie, 93, of Lake Avenue, died peacefully, Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2005, at the Orchards Nursing Home in Granville where she had been a resident since September. She was the widow of William Leslie, who died in 1987. Born Monday, Jan. 1, 1912, in South Arlington, Vt., she was the daughter of John E. and Hattie Colby LeBarron. She attended school in Arlington and then the family moved to Cambridge.
Mary worked in housekeeping and as a nurse’s aide at Mary McClellan Hospital for many years.
She was a communicant of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Cambridge.
She is predeceased by two infant sons and a brother, Samuel LaBarron.
Survivors include her brother, John B. LeBarron of Cambridge; three nieces, Lori Hoyt of Fort Ann, Janice Bennett and Faye James, both of Cambridge; and several nephews and cousins.
There will be a graveside funeral service in the spring at Woodlands Cemetery, Cambridge.
Arrangements are under the direction of Ackley & Ross Funeral Home, Cambridge.
