It is hard to convey just how central a role Paul and EAA have played in the lives of the Whittiers over the course of the past 60 years. I write on behalf of all of us, including Bob, to express our deepest condolences to Paul's family, and to offer heartfelt thanks for a lifetime of happy memories. None of our lives would have been the same without him, and he will be sorely missed.

As an Airplane nut myself I feel a kinship. ----Rest in peace my Friend !

I knew Paul through my father, Bob Whittier, who was an early EAA member and wrote for EAA publications for decades. The two men were the same age (Paul was less than a year older than Dad) and they shared many interests and opinions. I had a brief conversation with Paul at Oshkosh in 2012, now just over a year ago. I passed along my Dad's best wishes to Paul and in turn passed Paul's regards to Dad. Paul liked to say that he was a millionaire because he had a million friends; Paul will be missed by those million.
