Betty J. Harper
1921-2012 DALTON Betty J. Harper, 91 of High Street passed away Tuesday at Mt. Greylock Extended Care Facility.
Born April 15, 1921 in Warren, PA the daughter of George B. and Laura L. Burns Havener, she was a 1938 graduate of Pittsfield High School.
Mrs. Harper worked for many years at the former England Brothers department store, retiring in 1981.
Betty was a member of the Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall.
She married Charles E. Harper on August 31, 1940 he passed away October 9, 1991.
Betty leaves her daughter Judith G. Wood of Dalton, two grandchildren Jennifer Horton of Hinsdale, Josh White of Peru, Mass., and four great grandchildren.
FUNERAL NOTICE: A memorial service for Mrs. Betty J. Harper will be held Saturday, September 1, at 2pm at the Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall at 235 Dalton Division Rd., Dalton, MA. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family in Pittsfield Cemetery.
Donations in Betty's memory may be made to United Cerebral Palsy care of the BARTLETT WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME, 525 Main St., Dalton, MA 01226, who is in charge of arrangements. Thoughts and wishes may be emailed to the family at [email protected]
