We were out of the country and unable to attend Beverly's memorial service, but I wanted the family to know what a special person she was to my husband and me. We visited her at the assisted living residence multiple times, and were always amused at the new projects she had going -- a butterfly class, herb garden, art classes and other items on her schedule. We took her some binoculars the Friday before her death, and she was discussing plans to convince county officials to convert an old landfill into a nature walk park. She was an admirable, delightful lady and we will miss her greatly.
