Stankiewicz
1928-2013 PITTSFIELD Mrs. Concetta " Dolly" R. Russo Stankiewicz, formerly of 591 W. Housatonic St., died Tuesday evening at the Berkshire Medical Center. She was born in Pittsfield, Nov. 8,1928, the youngest of 13 children of Frank and Caroline Luce Russo. Mrs. Stankiewicz was employed for 13 years in the Food and Nutrition Dept. at Berkshire Medical Center, retiring in 1991. Prior to that, she was employed at the former Elmvale Worsted Mill. A long time communicant of the former Holy Family Church, she was also a member of its Rosary Sodality, A member of the Golden Seniors, she enjoyed traveling and working in her flower garden. Her greatest joy was the time she was able to spend with her three granddaughters throughout the years. Mrs. Stankiewicz returned to BMC to volunteer at the 2nd floor East, Surgical Patient Lounge for many years. She enjoyed raising and tending to her beloved Pekingese Dog, Samantha. Her husband, Joseph M. Stankiewicz, whom she married Jun 5, 1948, died Sept. 2, 1985. She is survived by her daughter, Doreen C. and her son-in-law, Randall P. Duprea of Pittsfield, her sister, Mrs. Celia Bruno of Pittsfield; three granddaughters, Abra Rose Duprea, Suzanne Stankiewicz and Megan Matranga and her son, Joseph Stankiewicz. FUNERAL NOTICE: Stankiewicz, Concetta "Dolly " R. died Dec. 3. Funeral service will be held Friday morning at 10 a.m. at the DEVANNY-CONDRON FUNERAL HOME. Calling hours will begin at 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery.

To Connie's family - so sorry to hear of your loss. I worked with Connie in the Dietary Dept. at BMC when I was in high school - about 30 years ago! Connie was always a joy to work with and always made us laugh.
