I think there is a special bond with the friends you make early in life. I, too, went to school with John from Highland all the way through Taconic High. I was so sad to hear that he has passed away - far too young. I am happy to read that he has a wonderful family, so fitting for such a wonderful person, genuinely kind, with a smile that no one who knew him will ever forget. RIP John.
To the Carmody family,
We are so sorry for your loss. Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers.

May your fondest memories carry you through this difficult time. John was a great friend, and a caring person! I was blessed to gave him as my friend , unfortunately had lost touch for a long time and reconnected on Facebook.

So sorry for your loss. I knew John from Highland School up through Taconic High. I recall he was funny and always smiling. Although I had not seen him in over 32 years, I was very saddened by the news. I have you all in my thoughts and prayers at this most difficult time.
jesus saves! but johnny shoots and scores!
This was quite a shock to my Husband and I. We both went to Taconic with John and I will never forget that smile he had. My thoughts are with all of you during this time. I know words can never be enough during times like this. John will forever find good weather to ride his Harley and I bet he is hanging out with my Brother Richard who passed away in "97" who also knew him at Taconic.
saddened by the sudden loss of such a GREAT guy.May God bless the families in this time of sorrow.
There are just no words to tell you how sorry I am. John and I were friends since we were little kids, growing up a few houses away from eachother. I have many memories of our childhood and our friendship. He will be greatly missed. My deepest sympathies to his wife Tena and John's whole family. I am just so very sorry for your loss. Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you all.
