To Kathy and Susie and families,
I wrote to you yesterday, but I guess it did not go through.
Wayne and I were away and were shocked to read of Linda's passing. We had lost touch through the years, but thought of her often. I remember how much she loved her sisters, and how proud she was of the two of you. You were a close knit family, and I know how much this is hurting you. May God heal you and your families.
I am so deeply sorry to hear of Linda's passing. It was (is) such a shock. I will always remember her kind heart and deep love for God. I know there is no consolation but I will quote Tagore, 'Death is not extinguishing the light- it is putting out the lamp because the dawn has come.' I wish I could have been at her funeral but family circumstances required me to be out of town. My prayers and thoughts were and are still with you.
To the Hermanski family,
We are so sorry to hear of your loss of your wife and mom. I was good friends with her at HVHS. I will always remember her laugh and smile. She was truly a very special person. Before the flag squad was formed, Linda and I were on the color guard together.
We always had so much fun during practices.
Linda always made me feel so welcomed at HVHS. I did not know that many people there when we started, since I did not go to public elementary school. She made the transition easier.
I had not seen her in many years, and was shocked to read about her passing when I returned home from being away. May God be with you all through this very difficult time.
Dan, Jen, Danny and Kathryn, my deepest condolences to you on the loss of a beautiful wife, mom and friend. May the lord watch over you at this time.
To Linda's Entire Family,
I am so sad to read of Linda's passing. I was fortunate enough to get to know Linda on a personal level while coaching Danny. She was a wonderful person who cared deeply about her family and friends. My prayers are with all of you. God Bless You.
We Love the Hermanski's

Jennifer, Dan, Kathryn and Mr. Hermanski-I was saddened to heard the news of the loss of your Mom/wife. I had quite a few conversations with her about your participation in health class. It was a pleasure to talk with her and to recognize how much she cared about you and how special you were to her. She always wanted the best for you. Her convictions and faith were always evident in our conversations. One of the most special notes I ever received as a teacher, was from her. I thoroughly enjoyed having the three of you in my classes, too. Because of your parents care for you and bringing you up as respectful, responsible, spiritual individuals, the three of you stand out among all the students I have encountered in my 21 years at Herberg Middle School. It truly was a pleasure to have you all in my classes. I hadn't seen your Mom in quite a few years when she came to my classroom two years ago, as the para for a special needs student. She dealt with a difficult student with firmness and compassion. At the same time, she participated in the class and offered some insightful comments. I am so sad for you all. I know, though, because of her deep faith in God, she is rejoicing in His presence now.

Dearest Dan,Jen,Dan Jr and Sharlene,Kathy;
I heard your loss a few minutes ago and I do not have the words, the energy, the courage to write.I am frazzled, shocked, can not shake it, can not believe it, just want to wake up from a dream! She was one of the rare people that I had the deepest connection with and the distance did not make it less, she was in my thoughts so often ! She was a character, solid as a rock, strong, honest, graceful, open hearted and open minded, merciful, beautiful.. just beautiful.. loved her husband, missed her mother, and, God, I have never met a mother who adored her children and loved them to pieces this deeply ! I very deeply share your sorrow, I would do anything to be there at this moment. We shared so much and I am lucky for every single moment I spent with her. I learned so much from her ! Please accept my most genuine condolences and please be strong! I know it is incredibly hard but that is how she would have loved to see you ! I know you Dan and Jen, personally and I saw the most beautiful pictures of Dan Jr, Sharlene and Kathy ! I can close my eyes and see all those adorable faces in sorrow in this moment. I can also feel the Linda in you and I trust a piece of you will be able to strong through this hardest experience ! All my thoughts and prays will be with you, for the rest of my life !!!
Dan, Jen, Daniel, Kathryn,

To Linda, my friend,
You were such a Special person, wife and mother. I never saw you without a smile and always a kind word to say to everyone. You always found the good in people which made them better people just by knowing you. You and Dan raised 3 wonderful, smart, thoughtful and respectful children. They will continue to make you proud. I miss our time working together, we had a lot of fun. I will miss our chance meetings where we talked about our kids. You are with our Lord now and He has plans for you. I will miss you my friend.
Love, Donna Walz
Cousin Dan, Dan Jr. Katherine and Jen,
What a blessing it was for us to know your Mom and family over the years--she was a wonderful woman, wife, and Mother. My mother loved seeing Linda at Church in Pittsfield and for the ladies gatherings. She died way too young. We pray for Linda to have eternal life in heaven and strength for the family in their hour of need. God Bless.

Dear Dan and family,
We are so sorry to read Linda's obituary this morning. You and your family are in our prayers.
May our Lord bless and comfort you and your family during this time of grief. Please accept my sincere condolences.
To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief.
Dan and Family,
My deepest sympathy, love, thoughts, and prayers to all of you. What a beautiful legacy of love that surrounded her and that she will leave upon many individuals. Her smile lit up a room and she loved all of you with such unconditional love. May the memories you hold of her, remain forever etched in your hearts and may these memories sustain you during this most difficult time. May our gracious God hold her in the palm of his hand and take her safely home where she will be forever loved. She was such an inspiration to me. God needed one "SPECIAL" angel. She will be my angel of love, as well as yours.
