We were so sorry to hear about your Dad. He was a true gentleman. And, always so welcoming to us who somehow found our way to your home over the years (from the Pomeroy School days through high school). We want you to know we will be thinking of you, and your family, as you move forward without him.

To the Makes Family:
Your Dad was among my favorite people. He was kind, considerate and compassionate.
Our families go all the way back to the Berkshire Restaurant, along with a lot of great memories, laughs, and some really great food! I'm sure my Mom and brother Gene will be among those loved ones and friends to welcome him home.
No matter how long we have our parents, it is never long enough, and is that much more to miss.
Our sincerest sympathy for your great loss.

Dear Vicki and Dave, I was so sorry to hear about Nick. What a wonderful tribute to his life in the obituary! You will always have loving memories of him. Treasure that. Love, Aunt Alma
A near "perfect" gentleman who along with his beloved Wife, Marion, Operated one of the Best Restaurants in the Berkshires for all those years, "The Yellow Aster". What a great host & hostess they were as we dined so often at their business. Great family, the Best food,Homey atmosphere,Generous portions, often Imitated (but never with success), In short the Makes' family became everybody's family. I will remember them by celebrating a Mass for Nick and his beloved wife. I also will remember the intentions of their family in Prayer. Beautiful people now resting together in the arms of the Good Shepherd.. May they truly Rest in Peace.
To the Makes family:
You so fortunate to have had Nick in your life. And he lives on in you and your children. Great photo! (except for the Red Sox hat!) Mike and Cindy Johnson
