Babe, Ann - so very sorry for the loss of Bobby. Way too soon. Lots of great memories growing up. Bob was one of a kind and will be missed dearly.
Bobby was a great guy and a great friend. I knew Bobby for over 40 years and enjoyed him immensely. Always a smile on his face especially when the Red Sox were winning or when he was listening to Bruce Springsteen or Pink Floyd. He will be missed as a staple of the Red Lion Inn for over 30 years. The news of Bob's passing has shocked and saddened me. He was a great guy, fun to be around and always had a nice thing to say or to enjoy a conversation with. I along with many will miss his presence.. My condolences to his family and friends.
Thinking of you... I have always thought/hoped this poem might bring me comfort when needed:
Death is nothing at all.
I have only slipped away to the next room.
I am I and you are you.
Whatever we were to each other,
That, we still are.
Call me by my old familiar name.
Speak to me in the easy way
which you always used.
Put no difference into your tone.
Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow.
Laugh as we always laughed
at the little jokes we enjoyed together.
Play, smile, think of me. Pray for me.
Let my name be ever the household word
that it always was.
Let it be spoken without effect.
Without the trace of a shadow on it.
Life means all that it ever meant.
It is the same that it ever was.
There is absolute unbroken continuity.
Why should I be out of mind
because I am out of sight?
I am but waiting for you.
For an interval.
Somewhere. Very near.
Just around the corner.
All is well.

Bob was a first class person . I was lucky to work with him at the Red Lion Inn I admired his gentle manner and his smile. The Inn will not be the same without his presence I know he has a front row seat in Heaven
Although I only knew Bob for a short time, he was always generous and kind. I shared some amazing times with Bob and will always remember him introducing me to John Henry at a Red Sox game and an unforgettable round of golf at Cullen links course in Scotland. Thoughts are with you.
To all of Bob's family & friends,
What a shock first of all! The most kind soul
I've ever known, his award winning smile, his calm and personable deminer, his laugh or really his giggle and his true friendship.....will always be remembered.
My condolences to you all.
Thank you for always being so kind and with a smile. The Red Lion Inn days were the best! Hoping you are at peace now. My thoughts go out to your family
I was so very sorry to hear of Bob's passing. Always a smile on his face, and a warm hello whenever I saw him. He will be missed. My deepest sympathies to his family and friends.
I worked with Bob for 6 years at the wine store and those years were some of the best because we had such a great "family" atmosphere there. Looking back, it is bitter sweet because we had such fun and we no longer have Bob to laugh and tell stories with. Losing Bob is like losing a family member. He was generous, funny, and lived to help people. My deepest condolences to his family during this very difficult and emotional time.
Very very sad to hear of this, Bob was a great friend and important part of my life... I will miss him. I am grateful that I have known him and of the great times we had together.

R.I.P. Bob it was an honor to know you, my condolences to your entire family.
Katie and I were terribly saddened to hear of Bob's passing. Being in his company - whether he was working, out on a golf course or in someone's living room sharing a bottle or two of wine - couldn't help but to brighten one's day. He was entertained by his friend's and client's foibles without a hint of malice, and said what he believed, rather than what he thought we wanted to hear. We respected him greatly and were proud to call him a friend. He will be deeply missed.
Mary and Ann , I am so sorry to hear about your loss , Bobby was truly a wonderful person . He will be truly missed . Charley
