May you rest in peace Mr. Nelson. Thank you so much for being such a wonderful and dedicated teacher. My deepest condolences and prayers go out to his family and loved ones.

When I moved into my office next door to Gus Iin 1985, I was driving a nail into the wall to hang my degree. The walls were so thin that the hammering knocked his framed picture of BF Skinner to the floor. That's how I met Gus. He came into my office with his cherished and autographed picture of BF Skinner, now with cracked glass.

I apologized and told Gus that I had once worked with someone whose grandfather had thrown up in BF Skinner's shoes at summer camp. Those of you who knew Gus can hear his laugh and picture his smile as I regaled him. He forgave me.

We miss you, Gus.

I had Mr. Nelson as a teacher at BCC for a few different classes during the 90's. I learned so much from him about the social sciences and the work of the noted greats such as Freud, Skinner, Erickson and others. He was a great educator who was truly passionate about the material he taught. He will be missed. My deepest sympathy to all of his family.
