You have my deepest sympathy. May good memories provide solace for your family during this challenging time and may God provide you with the assurance that you will see your loved one again in Paradise. (John 17:3)

Dear Billie,
I don't know if I can make the wake but I had to leave a message because he influenced my and my children's lives so much.
In closing there will never be another (coach) or (Herbie).
Sincerely,
Woody SR (Mike)

To the Johnson family,
My condolences to all of you. But you are wrong about the square dancing- there were a lot of students who loved it, even the boys. He made PE fun At Mark Hopkins and he really enjoyed it when the girls beat the boys at sports.
My prayers are with all of you.

Dear Billie Lynn and family,

The Coach was such a guiding light for me and everyone who spent their years at Drury. My "highest ever" score on his infamous "Marine Test" was responsible for putting me on the map at Drury after coming from another town (Clarksburg). I spent four years with him in the Gymnastics Club (two of which it become a sport and we competed). He also helped me through Track and Cross Country. Thank you Coach Johnson for your marine approach with shades of kindness and compassion. You were a great role model for many students. May you rest in peace and may your family find comfort from the great legacy you have left. See you in the 100 year old Drury gym, Coach, and we'll do some push-ups together.
