Dear Brett & all of Joe's family,
I was so surprised and saddened to read of Joe's passing. Many years ago, Joe used to shoe my horse and he was a great farrier - able to fix a hoof problem that no one else could. He was larger than life and he and his albino mare, "Babe", were legendary back in the 60's and to us kids who rode, he was like a "horse whisperer". I ran into him about 15 yrs ago and like always, he made me laugh till I cried. He and all of you are in my prayers.
Brett, what you expressed was so eloquent and also part of the whole normal, lousy process of grieving. Please believe and find some comfort in knowing that he knows your heart. He always did.
Rest in Peace and Grace, Joe.

I miss you so much Joe. Thank you for all you did for me. You listened to me and gave me advice. You were so much like a dad to me. I loved your meatloaf so much. Thank you for inviting me to your sister Ro's birthday party. It was the best time I ever had in a long time. I felt like family there and everyone made me feel so welcome like I was family. I will never forget that night with you and your family. I am so sad I did not get more time to spend with you and meet the rest of your lovely family. To Joe's family, I am so sorry and so heart broken. Joe rest in peace, now your with Denise. Love to you and your family Joe. Peace!!!!

I'm still having such a hard time believing that you are gone Uncle Joe. From the time I was a little girl, you always had a special place in my heart. I am so glad that you were able to be at Mom's 80th birthday party. And I am so glad I took that picture of the two of you. Mom looks at that picture all the time. Bill is right. She is so lost without you. She will miss all the visits you made to the house to see her. She loved you so much. You know how much family means to her.
My kids are all at a loss too. You were always so kind to them. If you had a dollar in your pocket and they were around, you gave it to them. You made them laugh. You made everyone glad to know you.
You will be missed more than anyone will ever know.
I hope that you've found peace now. I know that you and Denise will be watching over us all. You will be in my thoughts and my prayers forever. I love you. ?
Love your niece Colleen and my children Amanda, Matthew, Rachael and Nicholas

To Joe's family...
Joe was a wonderful person. He always had a kind word to say about everyone and everything. His jokes and laughter were infectious!
Joe will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He will be missed at Bingo...
especially on Monday's and Saturday's.
"Cowboy Joe" has ridden off into the sunset but, whenever I see a spectacular sunset, I'll be thinking of him.
