Karen F. Losee
1938 - 2014 PITTSFIELD Karen F. Losee, 76, of Pittsfield, passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 30, 2014, at the Mount Greylock Nursing Home. Born March 22, 1938, in Pittsfield, she was the daughter of Edward and Marion Briggs Loehr. Karen attended local schools and graduated from Pittsfield High School in 1955. She worked for Berkshire Life, Dr. Henry Grover, General Electric, and Berkshire Community College. Karen attended St. Mark Church in Pittsfield and loved to garden and spend time with her grandchildren. Karen was predeceased by her husband, Robert Losee, whom she married July 8, 1961. He passed away on Jan. 23, 1987. Her survivors include her sons, John E. Losee and David C. Losee, and a brother, Kevin Loehr, all of Pittsfield; a sister, Maureen Dziadzio of Ludlow; grandchildren, Ian, Adrienne, and Jack Losee. She was also predeceased by sisters, Patricia Fila and Winnifred Loehr, and a brother, Edward J. "Ned" Loehr. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Karen F. Losee will be held Saturday, May 10, 2014, at 1:30 p.m. at the WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME 220 EAST STREET PITTSFIELD MA 01201. Calling hours will be held from 11:30 to 1:30 p.m. until the time of the services. Burial will take place in the Center Cemetery in Richmond, Mass. I am so very sorry to hear about the loss of sweet Karen. She worked for my father, Dr. Henry E. Grover for many years. We all loved her. She will be missed.
