Marie Scarbo
1918 - 2015 WILLIAMSTOWN Mrs. Marie Elizabeth (Chaperon) Scarbo, 96 of 924 Henderson Rd., died Saturday July 4, 2015 at Williamstown Commons. She was born in North Adams on August 23, 1918, daughter of Eugene Toussaint and Cyrilla Rose (Fountain) Chaperon. She attended local schools. Marie was primarily a homemaker and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Over the years, she worked at Sprague Electric, Dargie's Rest Home and Williams College. She was a communicant of Sts. Patrick and Raphael Church. Marie was a member of Le Cercle Francais and was a former member of the Eagles. She enjoyed needlepoint. She was the widow of Harry Earl Scarbo who died on June 20, 1987. They were married on July 2, 1938. Survivors include two daughters, Paula Dominy and her husband, James of LaMarque, TX and Judith Turgeon and her husband, James of Williamstown, with whom she made her home; and two sons including, Eugene Scarbo and his wife, Lee of Phluglerville, TX; and David Scarbo and his wife, Renie of Goodrich, TX. She also leaves eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; her sister, Cyrilla "Sis" Frantauzzi and her husband, Jack of Conyers, GA and many nieces and nephews. An infant son died at birth on August 9, 1959 and her sister, Shirley Smith died in 2011. FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Marie Scarbo will be celebrated Wednesday July 8, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Sts. Patrick and Raphael Church. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Cemetery. Calling hours at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS WEST CHAPELS, 521 West Main St. North Adams, MA are Wednesday morning from 9 to 10:30 AM.
