Sue and Sam. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I didn't know your Dad but knowing the two of you from TP I know he must have been very proud of you. Blessing on your entire family

Sam, Susan, and family,
So sorry to hear of your loss.

I was lucky enough to meet Mr. Slack just a few short days before he passed away and I am so grateful for that opportunity. He very clearly touched the lives of his entire family and will be dearly missed. My thoughts are with everyone grieving his loss and I hope they are soothed by the fond memories of his life.

I Erwin P Currier, From Maine, after WWII Working with Western Union, left them to get married. Went to WMECO to work, Left them in 1955 to work for Fire Alarm and Traffic, We were split up and I was chosen to go to the Traffic Sam Slack, from State Highway Dept. came to City traffic Dept, This made him my boss in city hall. My shop was the City yard, that was just torn down. Seeing Sam in the Obituary made many memories come back. Lightning took out the traffic controller that was new 8 phase. It was on flash for quite a spell while on company service with Sam's help I made a pre timed controller work until the new controller came. Sam was one of the best bosses and people I have ever worked with as the City of Pittsfield's Traffic Electrician. I retired May - 1984 that's 30 years I am only 93 now. I am truly sorry for your loss Sam will be missed by many. Sincerely
