To the Haven family,
I have many fond memories of Bill from BMC. Sorry to hear of your loss.

Pastor was not just a preacher; he was a friend. You could depend on him to come even in the nastiest weather. He was not jealous and was always ready for a party or an outing. He loved being with people and loved their friendship. He enjoyed history and knew everything backwards and forwards. If you had a question about Bible history or a location of an event, Pastor would know the answer. In addition, books were Pastor's best friend. He always was reading the latest John Grisham or Max Lucado book. He'd read to go to sleep and read when he got up. Pastor also enjoyed playing games. There was no beating him in Scrabble. All the games we played are countless. One of his favorites was Snoopy's DogHouse; he still had never gotten around to playing that with me. Movies—Pam and Pastor's favorite past time; they are the best movie critics next to Gene Shalit and Siskel + Ebert. I watched countless movies with them from the Majestic to the Rocketeer. The things I'll miss about Pastor the most are going to be his hugs, smiles, and laughter. I'll always love Pastor, and will always be his “Little Blonde Wannabe” and “Pumpkin” Whenever I hear someone say “see ya later, Girl,” I'll think of him. Pastor has been a very significant part of my life. I'll miss him very much and will never forget him.

To the Haven family,
Seven years ago My husband and myself were sent an angel from the Lord,at just the right time. God has perfect timing. I will always remember the first day entering Tabernacle Baptist Church, welcome was what I needed and welcome is what I recieved. My husbands health started declining, the Lord kept him with me for another 5 years. Pastor stepped right in to help, even though his own health was a big issue. He visited both of us,called both of us,prayed with both of us, and led my husband to the Lord in 2009,Praise God! Opening doors for people to come to know the Lord personally, was Pastors mission always. My husbands memorial service was a true witness of his love for the Lord, and for all people. Title of service was,Do you know if you are truly going to see Banks(my husband) in heaven? I had a step niece and step daughter say ,I wonder if I am going to heaven? Pastor opened doors for the Lords entrance into many lives. Pastor gave all the glory to God! I have truly lost a wonderful Pastor and a true friend. My prayers are for you all.Thank-you for sharing your hudbsnd, father and graandfather with me . What a gift from God I recieved!

Dear Mrs. Havens, Laurie,Holly, and Bobby, I am so sorry to hear of Pastor's passing. He was One in a Million. Pastor was the most Christ-like person I ever met. I will always be grateful that he led Kelly's father to The Lord , after 20 some years of prayer. My prayers are with you now, and in the days ahead. May God wrap His everlasting arms of love, comfort, and peace around you. With love and prayers, Francine
