Pastor was not just a preacher; he was a friend. You could depend on him to come even in the nastiest weather. He was not jealous and was always ready for a party or an outing. He loved being with people and loved their friendship. He enjoyed history and knew everything backwards and forwards. If you had a question about Bible history or a location of an event, Pastor would know the answer. In addition, books were Pastor's best friend. He always was reading the latest John Grisham or Max Lucado book. He'd read to go to sleep and read when he got up. Pastor also enjoyed playing games. There was no beating him in Scrabble. All the games we played are countless. One of his favorites was Snoopy's DogHouse; he still had never gotten around to playing that with me. Movies—Pam and Pastor's favorite past time; they are the best movie critics next to Gene Shalit and Siskel + Ebert. I watched countless movies with them from the Majestic to the Rocketeer. The things I'll miss about Pastor the most are going to be his hugs, smiles, and laughter. I'll always love Pastor, and will always be his “Little Blonde Wannabe” and “Pumpkin” Whenever I hear someone say “see ya later, Girl,” I'll think of him. Pastor has been a very significant part of my life. I'll miss him very much and will never forget him.
