like many of his fans, i never personally met bernie...but, to ME, he will ALWAYS be the "original king of comedy"!!! i always looked forward to watching the bernie mac show...as now i have the sitcom on DVD. i also have most of his movies in my collection. i have both of his books, "Maybe You Never Cry Again" and "I Ain't Scared of You". I have read both books more than once. even though he was an extremely successful comedian, actor, and entertainer, bernie was so down-to-earth, humble, kind, loving, giving and "real". not to mention he was the "sharpest" dresser in the world...and had the prettiest white teeth that made for a beautiful smile!!! although it has been 16 months since he passed away, i still sorely miss the MAC MAN!!!

Of course, I never knew Bernie as a person. I only knew of the Entertainer. No doubt that smile we fans know him for is from the heart. Associating with him had to make people feel good about themselves on the inside. As you know, the Bible promises that there will be a time when we see our loved ones again. (John 5:28, 29; Acts 24:15) Take care.
