Very sad to know our lovely Wink has died, many memories, from him cycling home from Stratton School, shirt undone with his satchel. Us Rose Lane lot were envious! So handsome, special memories of a childhood friend. My Dad chased him up the road as he was the first to wear winklepickers, My parents thought him unsuitable!!! But eventually he worked for my Dad at universal radiators, they grew fond of him. As everyone who knew him was. My best wishes to his family and partner. Anne U.
