Our precious mother, Billye Burgin Dutt (Poe), 88 of Birmingham, Alabama, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on April 12, 2019. Billye graduated Shades Valley High School and attended Auburn University where she was a member of the Delta Zeta sorority and the National Honor Society. Her favorite and first career was with Capital Airlines, which was much enjoyed. She, like her mother and aunt, were Clerks for Debtors Court serving Birmingham Attorneys. She was an active member of Shades Mountain Independent Church for 35 years where she enjoyed Bible study fellowship with many close friends. She and her husband, Wayne, are current members of Briarwood Presbyterian Church. Billye was beloved for her quick wit, compassion and was always ready for a funny story. She served others in need with her culinary talents and gift of time. Her source of wisdom, joy and love for others came from her relationship with Jesus Christ. She is preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Willard Poe, of 55 years and is survived by her husband, Wayne E. Dutt, of 7 years. Billye is survived by her two daughters, Julie Wilkerson (Jim), Becky Stefanek (Jay), and her 5 beloved grandchildren, Cole (Caylee), Ali and Hannah Stefanek and Dell and Julianne Wilkerson. Words cannot express the great impact her life has had upon her family. Loved and cherished memories will last for a lifetime. Friends will be received at 4:00pm Sunday, April 14, 2019 for a Celebration of Life Service at Ridout's Valley Chapel in Homewood, AL followed by a reception at Valley Chapel. In lieu of flowers please send a contribution to Briarwood Presbyterian Church in honor of Billye B. Dutt.

Julie and Becky, I am so sorry to hear of your sweet mom's passing. I had just begun working at the Trustee's office when I lost my mother. Billye was always a kind shoulder to lean on during that time. Prayers for comfort during this time.
