Aug. 23, 1937 - Feb. 28, 2015 George S. Armstrong, age 77, of Birmingham, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 28, 2015. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosalind. Mr. Armstrong was a Navy Veteran and proud father. He is survived by his children, George Howard Armstrong, William Keith Armstrong and Dwayne Ryan Armstrong (Wendy) and two grandchildren, Ryan William and Zachary Ryan Armstrong. Funeral service will be on Friday, March 6, 2015 at 2:00 PM at McCalla Memorial Funeral Home with burial to follow in Highland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 PM on the day of the service.

My thoughts and prayers are with you Dwayne, Wendy, and the family. I'll miss seeing George wave at me when I come outside to leave for work or school and he always new how to make you laugh.

God bless you during this difficult time. I wish I could have visited with my uncle before he passed away but living in Texas has not made it possible. I am so glad my brothers, Jerry and Don, were at the hospital at the end.
