Elizabeth, I don't know if you remember me? I ued to sit behind you in your Mom's class at Bluff Park. I loved to listen to her read to us after lunch; she was my favorite teacher. She will be greatly missed. God Bless you and your family. Kindest regards, Peggy Hatten Townsend ( Folkestone, Kent, UK)

Mrs, Armour was my fifth grade teacher.
She was one of my mothers friends in DAR.
She read wonderful stories to us after lunch with her great voice. Best teacher I ever had! I loved her-
My sympathies are with you, her family.
Love,
Leigh Knight Williams

This message is on behalf of my mother, Rebecca Eppes Buttram. She and Edna were dear friends since they were in junior high school together. They finished high school the same year at Warrior High and remained lifelong friends. Our family has very happy memories of times with Edna, Libby, and Beverly. She was a beautiful lady in every way.

I am sorry to read of your mother's passing. May you have all the comfort that can be found in her memory. I see from the entries I have read that she was loved and respected. I was so happy to see that among her survivors is a daughter, "Libbie". You and I have known each other for a long time. 2012 will be the 50 year reunion of the class of 62. I hope you and David are very happy, in Decatur?? May you have all that is good and happy in your lives together. I would love to hear from you. Charles Howard (Gardendale, AL)

I just wanted you all to know that I truly loved and admired your mother and grandmother. She was my 6th grade homeroom and English teacher at Bluff Park Elementary school in the early 80s. She was so kind and gentle - I even visited her as a student at Birmingham-Southern College - as an English major. I eventually earned a law degree. I would not have been able to accomplish what I did without her influence both as a teacher and person.

She was a lovely wonderful person and I know you will miss her greatly. If I didn't live in Houston, I would come today.

God Bless you and your family.
