Dear Becky and Ms Thelma,
We were very sorry and sadden to hear about Fred's death.
As you know Fred and I were very close friends in H.S. and I
have many fond memories of our times together. We sincerely
hope and pray things will workout for the rest of your lives without
the physical presence of the beloved Fred.
I just learned of Fred's passing and am so sorry to hear this. I grew up with "Freddie" in Silas. He was a few years younger than me (I graduated in 1957) but we were always friends. His mother, Miss Thelma, was my fifth grade home room teacher. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Becky and Family, I was saddened to hear of Fred's passing. I enjoyed being on the Watersound Crossings board with Fred and getting to know both of you! What a good person to work with! Our thought are with you today and always! Love, Debbie and Dave Haselschwerdt
I am sorry to hear about this. I was one of Freddy's Fraternity Brothers at Theta Chi. I am sorry we lost contact.
Becky, I look at Thelma and think of the years Fred was her little boy. I think of you when you were making her new room so pretty and I pray for your comfort. Blessings, Robbie Sevier

Becky and family,
Just tonight heard about Fred. We are shocked and want you to know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.
Just got the news about Fred. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this time. A quote from Helen Keller helps me in a time like this---"What we have once enjoyed we can never lose....all that we love deeply becomes a part of us. " Larry & Beth Morris--cousin from Pensacola Florida
Dear Becky, Emily and Jim,
Just now hearing this news. We are so sorry to hear that Fred passed away. Ron Jones told Mort a little while ago. You all are in our prayers. With love, Carol and Morton Slaughter
I started practicing law about the same time Fred begain his career with BTNB, and I had the pleasure of working with Fred over the course of 30-plus years. Fred matured into one of most astute and practical bankers in Alabama. He was a trusted friend and reliable business colleague; Fred will be sorely missed.
Fred will be missed by many but especially his friends in banking. He was a great help to me and I will always remember him with fondness
Our thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.
Becky, will keep you in my prayers.
Becky, Doug and I are so sorry to hear of Fred's death. We did not know that he was so seriously ill. You go back a long way with us and we treasure that time. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Much love, Doug and Eva Rigney (Birmingham, also many memories of But;er)

Fred was a wonderful friend & associate..most able banker and someone you could always count on...helped me a a great deal during my time as President of Bank in Mobile. My thoughts and prayers go to his family.
Dear Crum Family,
We are so sad to learn of Freds passing. He was a wonderful example of leadership to so many who worked for him over the years at SouthTrust. Freds friendly demeanor was always a welcome addition as he made the rounds at the bank to hear what was going on or to share some wisdom. Our thoughts and prayers go out to your family.
To The Crum Family,
Our deepest sympathies are with you during this time of loss. We hope you can find reassurance in the care of your friends, and allow the loving memories you have of Fred to help you through this time.
Barbara and I are so sad and sorry about Fred's death. We loved him as we love all of you and will miss him and his caring spirit and his good friendship. We are in Hawaii/San Francisco through January 25 and will, regretfully, miss the funeral. Our deepest sympathy to Becky, Jim, Emily, and all the family. We love you all.
Fred was a wonderful friend, astute businessman and a supporter of our community and his church. He was a fine man who honored his wife, children and mother. He made significant contributions to society. God bless Becky, his children and Mrs. Crum.
Crum Family, we are so sorry for your loss. Sandy knew Fred while working at Burr & Forman Law Firm while he was at SouthTrust (formerly Bank for Savings) and Harold began having business dealings with Fred in the 70's. He was a wonderful man and we both have good memories of him. He will be missed.
Our thoughts & prayers go out to Fred's family. During our time at SouthTrust Fred was always a perfect gentleman & always there for us.
Becky, we are so sorry for your loss. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. I will always remember the Christmas dinners we spent together when Jim and Brian started their residency in Orlando. George & Paula Masters
Dear Mrs. Becky Crum,
I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. I only knew you and Fred for the very short time I've been working at WaterSound Beach, but every memory I have of him he was smiling. I know he was well loved and will be greatly missed.
Dear Crum Family,
We just want you to know how sorry we are for your loss. Fred will be remembered and missed by everyone who knew him. Please know that we are here for you and your family during this difficult time.
We love you,

I dearly loved this man and I know that he loved me. Fred and Mike Ross gave me the oportunity of a life time with a loan than eventually made me a very successful business man.
I shall pray for him.
He was truly a special person.
We thought of Fred and the Crum family all during the game last night. We could see Fred in his "Alabama" room -- we bet he got an extra touchdown for the team. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Bob and Holly
A gentleman in every sense of the word...he will be so missed in our community where he gave such faithful service...our hearts reach out to Becky, especially, as well the whole family of whom Fred spoke so fondly so often...we wish we were in country so we could be there to pay our respects in person...
Dear Crum Family,
SouthTrust in 1989 was my first job out of school. For 16 years the finest commercial bankers in the Southeast were my mentors. Fred was one of those mentors who was also one of the finest men of charachter. Fred demonstrated how to be savy, while at the same time being honorable. I appreciate the impression Fred left on me as a business person and as a man.
Prayers to your family,
Dear Becky, Sue and I wanted to let you and the family know how very sorry we are to hear of Fred's passing. During our days at SouthTrust I always considered Fred a true friend. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.
Becky, Jim and Emily,
Our thoughts and prayers go out to you during this difficult time and hope that the many fond memories you have will comfort you and bring you peace.
